Find a mutual fund distributor

A mutual fund distributor places your investment in a scheme’s Regular plan and handles the paperwork with you: KYC, nominations and SIP mandates.

Three steps

  1. Ask for their ARN

Every mutual fund distributor is registered with AMFI and holds an ARN, the AMFI Registration Number. Ask for it before you invest.

  2. Check the ARN

Verify any distributor's ARN at amfiindia.com

The ARN should be valid on the day you invest, and the name on it should match the person or firm you deal with.

  3. Invest in the Regular plan

Your distributor applies for you in the scheme’s Regular plan. Investments made through a mutual fund distributor are in the Regular plan, which includes distributor commission.
