How Felix reads its fund pages

Every figure on a fund page carries its date and its source. This page says where each comes from, how Felix checks it, and when Felix leaves it out. Felix publishes facts, not views.

Scheme names and categories

Each scheme’s name, type and category are matched every night against AMFI’s scheme master. A name that drifts from the master is held for review, and a page lists the names a scheme had before. Categories follow SEBI’s circular of 26 Feb 2026, in SEBI’s order, under the names it gave them.

The NAV chart

  • The periods are fixed and the same for every scheme: 1Y, 3Y, 5Y, 10Y and Max. A period Felix’s NAV store cannot fill is not offered.
  • Daily NAVs for 1Y and 3Y; the last NAV of each week for 5Y, 10Y and Max. A table of month-end NAVs sits under every period.
  • Before drawing, Felix drops points that cannot be right: a NAV of zero, a step of ten or a hundred times where the fund house changed its unit, and a one-day spike that reverses the next day. The chart says how many points it dropped.
  • Days with no NAV are drawn as gaps, never joined across.
  • The chart shows no change labels, highs, lows, benchmark line or event markers.
  • It is not drawn for a scheme less than 183 days from allotment, while the NAV shows “Data delayed”, or while the riskometer is not current.

The riskometer

The level shown is SEBI’s six-level scale, from the first of these sources that applies:

  1. AMFI’s fund-performance report, while the report is 45 days old or less. Its level is dated by the month it is for: a report dated on or after the 13th carries the fund house’s level for the month before, which fund houses disclose within 10 days of the month’s end.
  2. The fund house’s Scheme Summary Document on AMFI’s portal, 45 days old or less, dated by the date it states or, failing that, its file date.
  3. Felix’s own data, dated by the day Felix read it.

A benchmark’s riskometer level shows only from a dated row of AMFI’s fund-performance report. When a benchmark’s level changes for every scheme that follows it on the same report, Felix waits for the next report before showing it. Otherwise the page points to the fund house’s own riskometer disclosure.

The total expense ratio (TER)

The TER is AMFI’s TER disclosure for the date shown, Regular plan only, with its parts. Felix shows it only when the scheme’s row on AMFI’s file matches one scheme and no other, its parts add up to its total, the total is above zero and not above five per cent, and the row is no more than 3 business days old. Otherwise the page shows no TER.

Holdings

Holdings are the fund house’s monthly portfolio disclosure, shown for a month-end no more than 60 days old, with that month-end on every figure. A fund of funds holds other schemes’ units, and its page says so.

Sources

  • AMFI’s NAV history and its daily NAV file, for NAVs and the NAV chart.
  • AMFI’s TER disclosure, Regular plan columns only, for the total expense ratio and its parts.
  • AMFI’s fund-performance report, for the scheme’s and the benchmark’s riskometer levels only. Felix keeps nothing else from it.
  • The Scheme Summary Documents fund houses file on AMFI’s portal, for the riskometer level when the report has none.
  • The fund houses’ own disclosures: assets, holdings, minimums, exit loads, benchmarks, fund managers and scheme documents.
  • SEBI’s circular of 26 Feb 2026 on the categories of mutual fund schemes, described in Felix’s words.

Felix holds the permissions to store and publish data from each of these sources, as its owner recorded on 24 Oct 2026. Source lines name the public origin of each figure.
